Michael is a life-long and passionate marketer with more than 45 years advertising, PR, sales and marketing management experience having worked across a broad range of corporate, and small-medium business enterprises in Australia and New Zealand.
Working under his consulting practice Durie Hill, he mentors and advises organisations on how to grow, through data driven insights and strategy using creative tactics to find, get, keep and grow their customers profitably.
Michael is Southern chair of the Marketing Association, a former chair of KEA NZ based in NSW, and for some years an (ADMA) Association of Data Driven Marketing Australia marketing tutor and executive committee member. He is also on the national board of Business Mentors NZ and an advisor for a growing number of entrepreneurial startups in Otautahi Christchurch. Between 2004-2015 Michael was senior sales manager and marketing consultant with Australia Post where he worked with many of the largest corporations in Australasia advocating the medium of mail.
In years prior he has worked for Mazda Motors NZ, NZ Herald, Associated Group Media, Telecom Mobile Radio, NZ Post and Network PR in a variety of sales, marketing and management roles. He has owned marketing and PR agencies and is a past president of Christchurch Business Club.
He also has a special interest supporting the New Zealand start-up and entrepreneurial business community and in 2020 co-founded Christchurch based clean energy-tech firm, HIKO Unlimited.
Today Michael sits on numerous advisory and governance boards for both commercial and non-for-profit organisations and is a staunch advocate of NZ’s innovation and tech sector.

Jack Semenoff is a seasoned professional with 17 years of expertise in the transport and logistics industry, specialising in the crucial final mile within the rural sector.
As a current Board Member at Coural and Director at Tasman Pacific Couriers, he oversees a portfolio of five territory contracts with NZ Post and holds a key Sub-distributor agreement with Coural for West/Northwest Auckland.
Jack efficiently manages Coural’s North Island LBM distribution and transport operations, bringing strategic leadership to the forefront of the industry.
Kineta Booker’s passion for the media industry extends back to the 1990s, working in all mediums – print, radio, television and online.
Alongside early stints with the What Now? television programme, The Radio Network (NZME), Newstalk ZB and Radio New Zealand, Kineta studied and completed qualifications in public relations, BA in English and Theatre and post-grad journalism.
She was awarded the Robert Bell Travelling Research Scholarship in 2008 and moved to the UK to study The Digitalisation of Radio: Lessons for New Zealand.
While in the UK, Kineta worked as an online producer for ITV and wrote for several publications including The Daily Telegraph and NZ Inspired, as well as being a travel writer for NZ’s Herald on Sunday and filling in for TVNZ’s Europe Correspondent during the All Blacks’ tour.
When Kineta returned to Christchurch in 2010 she set up a freelancing business, working as a journalist and social media manager.
In 2011, Kineta became the managing editor of CC magazine (now 03) and Weekend Gardener (now Kiwi Gardener) and hosted the daily show Canterbury Life on CTV through until mid 2014.
Since then, Kineta has run content creation business, Lollipop Media, working as an editor for various titles including Canterbury Bride and Family Times magazines, creating social media and online content, strategies and plans for businesses.
